April 18 - 30 with Leona Brown ... a Creative Arts Learning Vacation in Southern Spain  

What an exciting time of the year to bathe yourself in the warmth of the spring sunshine in the most romantic area of Spain!

Painting outdoors is where the excitement happens. There will be four excursions by private bus to breathtaking Ronda, one of Hemingway’s favorite places and the home of the Spain’s oldest bullrings. This ancient town straddles a spectacular gorge and is one of the most paintable spots imaginable.

We will also visit the Alhambra, an ancient Moorish world heritage site set in the fascinating city of Granada. The palaces are among the most beautiful buildings in the world.  Short visits away are the narrow winding streets of Zuheros, and the unspoiled white town of Iznajar.

In this workshop Leona will be painting on watercolour canvas to allow for the spontaneity and looseness of the Spanish countryside and free expression.  Artists can paint at their own pace as well as a chance to paint “en plein air”. There will be instruction every day and a chance to catch some rays by the pool or join the non-painters in biking or hiking the hills in the afternoons.

Smells from the kitchen at El Molino from Mike’s gourmet cooking adds to the charm of the estate. The mill is situated on three acres of land surrounded by a stream and olive groves near the town of Andalucia.
